Overnight closures during June 2026
Our appointed highways contractor, Montel Civil Engineering, is now approaching the final phase of construction for the access roundabout which connects the A46, Drayton Manor Drive and the new internal access road.
To allow the roundabout to be completed, Montel has scheduled a programme of overnight road closures between Billesley Crossroads and Bishopton Roundabout which will take place 8.00pm to 6.00am over 15 nights between Monday 8 to Friday 26 June 2026. Please note that these dates and timings remain subject to change.
The official diversion route will follow the same route used during the previous programme of overnight closures in February 2026 and will redirect through traffic via the A435 and A4189 during the main A46 closure. Montel will install extensive signage to indicate the official diversion route.

We would like to thank the community in advance for their understanding during the upcoming closures and we have sought to minimise disruption where possible by closing the A46 at quieter periods overnight.
Delivering a new roundabout access on the A46
Access to Stratford46 Business Park will be provided by a new roundabout on the A46, located on the northwestern part of the site.
The detailed design of the access has been agreed with National Highways, which is responsible for the A46, and with Warwickshire County Council Highways.
The new roundabout will link the A46, Drayton Manor Drive and the new internal site access road and will help to improve safety and access for existing and future users of the local road network.
Construction programme
Construction work on the new roundabout began in summer 2025, and we are committed to delivering this work with minimal disruption or delay. This includes keeping the community informed and updated as the business park progresses.
Most of the construction work will be carried out ‘offline’, adjacent to the A46, without interrupting traffic flow and with the remainder during nighttime working. It is a requirement that during peak daytime hours, traffic flow in both directions on the A46 must be uninterrupted to minimise disruption in the area and prevent any delays.
To maintain safe conditions for road users and construction personnel during the works, a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) to reduce the speed limit to 40mph will be put in place throughout the works area during the construction of the roundabout.

Diversion of Severn Trent Water main on site
Between early July and November 2026 Severn Trent Water’s appointed contractor Avove Utilities will be carrying out work to divert the twin main water supply that runs through the Stratford46 Business Park site in preparation for the infrastructure works that will take place in 2027. As this work will take place entirely on the site itself, we do not anticipate it will impact the A46 or neighbouring roads.
